When to use

Alert rules are needed to automatically detect degradations and trigger a controlled response process.

What can be customized

• Metric and comparator (above/below).
• Thresholds warning and critical.
• cooldownSeconds for noise control.
• Dimension filter (JSON) for targeting specific interface, mount, vhost, etc.
• Notification channels and target user.
• Grouping rules in Alert Groups.

Steps

1. Create a rule group (optional) if a shared policy is required.
2. Create a rule: cluster, metric, comparator, thresholds, cooldown.
3. Add channels and, if necessary, target user.
4. Save the rule and check it in the general list.

What to check

• Rule applied to correct cluster and metric.
• Notification channels are active and verified.
• During a test violation, an incident of expected severity is formed.
