What it shows
RAM free, % in Vezha corresponds to the metric mem.free_pct. It normalizes the available memory as a percentage and allows you to compare nodes with different amounts of RAM.
Why it matters
For a fleet with mixed configurations, a percentage is often more informative than an absolute number. This makes it easier to set unified alerting policies and see risks even before critical conditions.
An example from practice
The two servers had different amounts of RAM, but the same percentage of free memory dropped dramatically after the release. This quickly showed the systemic nature of the problem, rather than a local failure of a single node.
